Legrand's Map

My friends, hear my plea before dismissing me. This map belongs to my father. Or did, before he recently passed. I remember the first time I saw it as a child, and foolishly thought it a play thing. My father corrected me, promising that someday this map would change my life. This map, he explained to me, is the key to finding a great treasure.

With my father's passing, it is my responsibility to clear out his belongings, including this map and his many notes and musings about it. Through his many years of searching, he claimed that he had discovered all of the clues that lead to the treasure. I believe he even solved many of them, though I haven't found any record in his notes.

I live a simple life, and have no need for such riches. This I do know: that if I allow myself to get lost in this quest, it will surely consume me as it did my father.

For this reason, I am sharing the map, as well as any notes of my father's that I think will be helpful. I don't ask for a share of the treasure, only closure on behalf of my father.

Please solve this mystery so he may finally rest.
